Lightning Class Association Membership

Dues are payable during January and are good for the calendar year. 
All money paid to I.L.C.A. as dues in excess of the regular dues for Active Members, Associate Members, and Crew Members shall be charitable contributions to the I.L.C.A.
$20 in excess will qualify for Contributing Membership
$50 in excess will qualify for Supporting Membership
$100 in excess will qualify for Donor Membership
$500 or more in excess will qualify for Benefactor Membership 
Donations at the Supporting Membership level and higher will receive a Gold Circle, a special decal which goes over your regular boat decal, to acknowledge your generous support of the ILCA.

Active Membership $45.00  Secure Membership Form   Make a Difference!

May only be held by an owner, part owner, a bona fide leasee (on record at ILCA Headquarters), a Service Fleet representative, or a member of a club which maintains a Club Lightning. He or she may skipper in any sanctioned or non-sanctioned race or regatta. An Active Member may hold office and vote. Active Members receive the Class Yearbook and eFlashes. Subscription to paper Flashes may be purchased in addition to membership.

Associate Membership $26.00 Secure Membership Form    Make a Difference!

Must be a non-owner of a Lightning yacht. He or she may be enrolled as part of the crew of a specific yacht and may skipper in any non-sanctioned race or regatta. An Associate Member cannot hold office or vote. Associate Members receive eFlashes and the Class Yearbook. Subscription to paper Flashes may be purchased in addition to membership.

Crew Membership $10.00 Secure Membership Form    Make a Difference!

Must be a non-owner of a Lightning yacht. He or she may be enrolled as part of the crew of a specific yacht. A Crew Member cannot hold office or vote. Crew Members receive eFlashes. Subscription to paper Flashes may be purchased in addition to membership.

If crew have not been selected at the time Owner/Skipper makes remittance, Skipper may pay Crew Dues and credit card(s) will be issued to the Skipper. A card may be filled in and returned to this office when a Crew has been selected, at which time a Crew Membership card will be issued for the designated Crew. Rules Article IV (4) provides that

"If a Skipper has two Crew Members of the Association in good standing enrolled for his yacht, non-member substitutes may be used whenever necessary or convenient in Fleet races only."

It is suggested that Skippers pay for crew at this time.
