2  ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY

2.1 The ILCA Junior Michigan District Championship is open to all sailors who have not reached their twenty first (21) birthday on or before 12/31/2017. Each Junior entrant must submit a signed Junior Medical Emergency Form and Junior Competitors Agreement.  However, the boat owner may be allowed as a third crew. 

2.2 The ILCA Women’s Michigan District Championship is open to all female sailors (skipper & crew). However, the boat owner may be allowed as a third crew.

2.3 The ILCA Masters Michigan District Championship is open to all skippers who will have reached their 55th Birthday on or before 12/31/2017. Minimum combined age of skipper & crew is 130 years as of 12/31/2017.

 3.4 Women, Junior and Master skippers must be ILCA Life, Active, or Associate members in good standing. Crew must be ILCA Life, Active, Associate, or Crew members in good standing.

 

3  REGISTRATION & FEES

3.1 Registration and measurement will be held from 0800 to 1100 hours on July 15.

3.2 Required fees are as follows:

Juniors $ 60.00 per boat – 

Women $ 65.00 per boat –

Masters $ 75.00 per boat –

 

4  SCHEDULE

4.1 The planned Regatta is a six (6) race series.

4.2 Planned Schedule: Saturday July 15  0800 – 1100 Measurement & Registration.  1130 Contestants meeting and Welcoming remarks.  12:00 Harbor Gun. 1300 1st race.  Sunday July 16 0900 Harbor Gun. 1000 First Race of Day

4.3 No Warning Signal will be made after 1300 hrs. Sunday July 16

4.4 Awards will be held upon conclusion of Racing and Haul out on Sunday July 16.

 

6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

6.1 The Sailing Instructions will be available on July 15 at registration.

 

7 VENUE

7.1 Racing will be on Cass Lake.

 

8 COURSES

8.1 The planned courses will be windward-leeward.

 

9 SCORING

9.1 The low point system of RRS appendix A will apply.

9.2 When fewer than six (6) races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. This changes RRS A2. When six (6) or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.

9.3 One (1) race is required to be completed to constitute a series.

 

13 MEALS

13.1 Continental Breakfast will be available to each registered boat both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday Dinner shall be included for all 3 Team Members. Extra meal packages shall be available at registration.
