The host country shall be entitled to two (2) entries over and above the Area's quota - ITA
Three (3) additional entries that may be selected by the Executive Committee from
Countries not otherwise represented to foster or expand Lightning interest in those Countries
In an effort to make sure as many sailors as possible may participate in the 2013 World Championships, Country VP's or District Commodores please contact the Class Office by December 1, 2012 with how many slots your Country will be using or if your Country has more interest than alloted slots.
Additional slots may be granted as if they are unused slots by other Countires or Areas.
As of April 1, 2013, there are 12 additional slots available. Please contact the Class Office if your Country requests any additional slots. These additional slots are filled according to ILCA Document Governing, Articles pertaining to the World Championship, Article V-Entries, Section 3- Secondary Selection.

2013 European/I'natl Masters Championships Participants
Any Qualifying Championship must be free from discrimination and be open to every Active and Life member of his or her Area or Country. Scoring in such races shall be computed exclusively on the basis of eligible entries belonging to the particular Area or Country holding the series. Method of selection within each Country rests with that Country.
