When we got to Ford Yacht Club, it looked like it was going to be a non-sailing day.  There wasn't enough wind to fight the current.

Turned out to be a good day with 5 races.

Andy from PYC and our team were the only travelers for the regatta.  Make sure to put this on your schedule next year to help support our newest fleet, Ford Yacht Club.  If bringing your boat down is too much of a hassle, team up with someone that has their boat there.  Cary Diehl can hook you up.  There are more than 10 boats onsite and most of the teams are open to Lightning people from other clubs crewing with them.

We were first in the water and got out to the race course more than 30 minutes before anyone else.  We had a good feeling for what the wind was going to do and were able to win both the first and second race.

We had an OCS and a bad start in the 3rd and 4th race.  Andy won both of those races and was tied with us.

We ended up first in the last race and were able to edge Andy out.  He and his team did a really nice job.

Cary Diehl did a nice job planning, and the FYC team did food and awards in record time.
