2021 Southern Circuit is ON!

MASK UP, you've been invited to come and sail the Southern Circuit.
Just one year ago, we made a big decision to cancel the Southern Circuit due to the COVID-19 Virus. Little did we know that this was the beginning of many cancelations in 2020. With vaccines beginning to be distributed and extra COVID precautions in place the St Petersburg Yacht Club and the Savannah Yacht Club are welcoming us for the 2021 Southern Circuit.
We realize that not everyone will feel comfortable traveling to these events and that is OK. Please do not feel like you are going to be missing out. We are expecting a smaller turnout than normal. In fact, St Petersburg YC is limiting the number of boats that can participate. They have had a few regattas so far this year and feel comfortable with hosting approximately 100 people on site at the sailing center to keep safe social distancing. There will be NO social functions or hanging out in the parking lot after sailing. If you are not comfortable with following the COVID precautions set forth by either club, please do not come. We also ask that if you are feeling sick, have a temperature or have been exposed to anyone with COVID leading up to the regatta that you stay home. There will be plenty of regattas in the future. Please respect this opportunity and your fellow Class Members, Yacht Club personnel and volunteers.
The NOR link for St Pete is noted below. As stated above registration will be limited to 35 boats. Registration will open on February 1st, at 10:00am Eastern, first come first serve via Yachtscoring Website. The NOR and registration link for the Deep South Regatta at the Savannah Yacht Club will be posted very soon. Note there will not be any limit in registration for Savannah.

Wednesday- March 17 1800 Competitors’ Meeting via ZOOM, daily briefings at SC each morning of sailing
Saturday -March 20 1200-1600 Registration St Pete Sailing Center
Sunday -March 21 1000 Warning, first race of the day
Monday- March 22 1000 Warning, first race of the day
Tuesday - March 23 1000 Warning, first race of the day
Wednesday – March 24 1000 Warning, first race of the day, No Warning after 1500. Awards 2 hours after racing, Sailing Center.
