CYC - Wrightsville Beach Ocean Racing
Come early on Friday Afternoon, April 22nd. Greg Fisher will be on hand to help teams practice.
On Sat. April 23, the Carolina YC will be having its first Ocean Series races of the season. There's a 12pm start with 3 races in the ocean that will be run by our local CYC Race Committee. The usual course is W-L 4 legs lasting about 45 minutes. Lasers & Sunfish may also be on the course with separate starts.
The Carolina YC is opening these races to any Lightning sailor who wants to attend. It will give those seeking Worlds practice an opportunity to come sail in the ocean & experience the venue. Boats maybe left at CYC after sailing on 4/23 and before the Worlds in May, however sailors will need to follow direction on where to leave the boats and that might include taking the mast down and storing them near the club.
