Point Abino Lighthouse Tours August 10

Just a couple miles up the road protecting our bay is our beloved lighthouse with a history of her own. Site visits (starting June 21 - Labor Day) are only available on weekdays: 3-5pm, weekends: 10am-5pm to pedestrians, bicycles, and motorized handicap scooters with permission at the gate house and a signed waiver.

There are no walk-ins allowed on tour dates which are every other Saturday in June, July, August & September. Just as a heads up, with a site visit, you can walk in and see our beautiful lighthouse to take pictures from it from the top of the hill, but you will not be able to go right up to it or go inside of it like you can with our lighthouse tours. Contact Number: 905-871-1600 ext. 2431

The tour bus leaves promptly from the parking area next to the Bertie Boating Club at 1036 Point Abino Road. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your tour time to avoid missing the tour!

Day Trip Ideas

St Catherines & Welland, Ontario Day Trip

The Welland Canal is in Ontario, Canada, and part of the St. Lawrence Seaway and Great Lakes Waterway. The canal traverses the Niagara Peninsula between Port Weller on Lake Ontario, and Port Colborne on Lake Erie, and was erected because the Niagara River—the only natural waterway connecting the lakes—was unnavigable due to Niagara Falls. The Welland Canal enables ships to ascend and descend the Niagara Escarpment, and has followed four different routes since it opened.
