CALL FOR BIDS
2026 Women’s, Junior & Masters North American Championships 
2026 North American Championships
 
 
Championship AREA/REGION HOST: Midwest / Northeast USA 
 
To the best extent possible, the host should seek to provide:
    - A venue (or two nearby venues) conducive to terrific sailing as well as on shore activities during the Summer of 2026.
 
    - Ability to host at least 75+ Teams over a 3-4 day racing period (for each event) preceded by a day for practice. 
 
    - Ability to staff a first-class race committee, jury and appropriate number of safety boats. ILCA will have final approval of PRO. 
 
    - Ability to provide space for boat measurement (including weighing and sail measurement) and Class Meetings.
 
    - Overall trophies for skipper and crew, for top 5-10 places based on number of entered. 
 
    - Ability to provide the above for a reasonable registration fee, to include a $50.00 per boat fee payable to the ILCA. 
 
    - An ILCA Class Representative may be appointed to act as a liaison between the RC and the Class. If applicable that person would be stationed on the main RC Boat. 
 
 
Deadline for bids: September 1, 2025.  Winning bid will be announced during the 2025 ILCA North American Championships at the Carolina Yacht Club, September 23 - 27, 2025

The 2026 NA's will be the US Qualifier for the 2027 World Championship that will be held at a North American Venue.

To the best extent possible, the host should seek to provide:
    - A venue conducive to terrific sailing as well as on shore activities during 2027.
 
    - Ability to host at least 65 Teams over a 3-4 day racing period (for each event) preceded by a day for practice for each event. 
 
    - Ability to staff a first-class race committee, international jury and appropriate number of safety boats. ILCA will have final approval of PRO. 
 
    - Ability to provide space for boat measurement (including weighing and sail measurement) and Class Meetings.
 
    - Overall trophies for skipper and crew, for top 5-10 places (based on number entered) for each event. 
 
    - Ability to provide the above for a reasonable registration fee, to include a $100.00 per boat fee payable to the ILCA for the main Worlds event. 
 
    - An ILCA Class Representative may be appointed to act as a liaison between the RC and the Class. If applicable that person would be stationed on the main RC Boat.
