Sailing Instructions

Calling all sailors aged 21-32 - Come sail at the Buffalo Canoe Club for the inaugural Lightning U32 invitational event!

The event will provide boat charters and housing, at no cost, to give potential new members an opportunity to experience the excitement in the Lightning class. This is a great opportunity to celebrate the young sailors in the class and invite potential new members to try out the boat. Invite your friends for a great weekend event filled with competitive sailing and fun evening activities!

Reminder that all participants must sign up individually and specify if they have a team or are looking to be paired with a team for the regatta. The U32 committee will do its best to pair teams together and provide boats/housing to participants who need accommodations. Reach out to the U32 committee at U32@lightningclass.org with any questions.

Payment In Full In Advance Only
All participants must be ILCA members at the time of the event for insurance purposes. Membership costs are not included in the registration cost. Skippers must be at minimum Associate Members ($40) to qualify for covered insurance. Crew membership ($15) is also required for those who are not skippering. A U32 committee member will reach out after registration to assist in the process if you are not an ILCA class member.
