Southeastern Lightning District Championship
Carolina Yacht Club, Wrightsville Beach

May 17-18, 2025

We have a great turnout... 20+ boats! If you are still on the fence, come and join in on the fun!!

Registration is required for all skippers planning to sail the NAs in September at the same venue.
Come early for Friday's Racing Clinic!

This is a friendly reminder to all SELD sailors that there will be a racing clinic on Friday, May 16th supported by Greg Fisher at the Carolina Yacht Club in Wrightsville Beach.

The focus will be on boat set up and straight line boat speed. The plan is to be on the water by 1:00pm with the goal of doing a practice in the ocean weather permitting.

This clinic does not require registration and is free, so we hope to see you there to kick off this year's district championship and summer sailing!

It has become obvious over the past couple of years that many of our members no longer rely upon email as a preferred way to receive information from the Lightning Class Association.

To address this the ILCA is adding TEXT MESSAGING to complement (not replace) our websiteemailFacebookInstagramblogs, and recently added forum for member communications.

A little different than other communication vehicles, privacy concerns and service provider requirements dictate that Text Messaging needs to be an “Opt-In” service.  That means if you want to start receiving notices from ILCA via text message, you need to modify your ILCA member / user profile which is accessed via the ILCA website.    www.lightningclass.org

Instructions on how to make the setup changes for your ILCA account are provided at Text Messaging Opt-In Instructions

The Class is not planning to send daily texts to members with updates or news. Notifications of information posted to the Class Website or Social platforms will be pushed out through text.
