Not just for Classic Lightning Owners - space in this weekend program is limited
A weekend of Boat Maintenance, Learning, and Social activities for the benefit of Lightning owners & enthusiasts. Cost for the program will be $220.
Food and Lodging is the responsibility of the attendees. Many of us are planning on staying at the Best Western Motel in Hammondsport (it is clean and nice.) there are other options, including the Super 8 in Bath NY, and several options about 30 minutes away in Penn Yan NY.
This year our primary tasks will be focused on classic boat maintenance activities. We will focus on two of the Lightnings owned and sailed by the Museum (#584 & 898).
New for 2026 - The Lightning Class Association and the Museum are collaborating to establish the Lightning Class Hall of Fame, with its first member inductions targeted for later in 2026. We are inviting workshop attendees to stay over another night and volunteer to work on space preparation to set up the physical Hall-of-Fame within the museum building. Your option to participate in this add-on volunteer activity or not.
We are also hoping to have a Lightning Legend join us, and host an after dinner discussion Saturday evening.
Signing Up - Please fill out the form (link identified above) and submit it. We do need to limit the number of attendees so we can safely work in the available shop space. So get the form filled out and submitted as soon as you can. After the group is full we will start a waiting list.
