Fellow Lightning Owners:
The Lightning Class is initiating a census of all Lightnings, and we are sending this email to you as we have you listed as an owner of one or more Lightnings. As a Class with 15000+ Lightnings, we are fortunate to have so many boats available for folks to sail and race. We are looking to update our database of all boats as best we can. As with most censuses, this is important to our organization and we need your support.
| | | The census is a short, straightforward Google Forms Survey/Poll that should take about 3-5 minutes to complete. The information you provide will go only to the Lightning Class. Here is the link to the census:
Lightning Boat Census 2026
This census provides you with an opportunity to update the Class with your boat number, boat location, boat condition, your contact information, and your current use of the boat. The second half of the census provides an opportunity to provide the Class with more information and how we might assist you with what you would like to do with your Lightning.
Whether your boat is a classic that you enjoy day sailing and making look beautiful, or is sitting beside the house waiting to get back on the water, or is a modern racing machine, we want to hear from you and record the census information.
FYI - If you are fortunate enough to own multiple Lightnings, simply click on the link again and fill out the form for each boat.
