2023 World Championship

November 27- December 3, 2023

Cartagena, Colombia is renown worldwide for its beautiful old city, surrounded by magnificent walls that protected the Spanish Crown gold and silver from the English, French and Dutch pirates. Cartagena has very large hotel offer and you can choose from a variety of styles and prices. As any tourist location, Cartagena is little bit expensive, specially for the locals, not so much for foreigner earning in the now day very strong US Dollar. We prefer the Hilton Hotel, and the Estelar Hotel, both located near the Club. Also there are many Airbnb available near the Club. Cartagena is also known for its parties. There are many places to go dancing or have a drink with friends.

The venue is the Club Naval de Castillo Grande, owned by the Colombian Navy. It is very safe place and thus, the entrance is very strict. The Club is located in the Cartagena Bay, which in the north-western part of South America. There are direct flights to Cartagena from, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, New York, Toronto and Montreal, among others. The Club address is “Cra.15 cll.6, Castillogrande, Cartagena, Colombia.” As you can see bellow, the location is very privileged, as it is located at the end of a strip of land that reaches out into the Cartagena Bay. The sailing area is usually the bay, right in front of the Club or outside the bay but also not very far away.

The weather in November can be rainy until the the third week, when the dry season starts. The temperature is between 23 to 33 degrees centigrade. The wind is usually from the north.
