Eight Bells... Patricia Burridge

Patricia passed away on October 31 after suffering a stroke about 2 weeks ago. Pat would have turned 88 today. She is now reunited with her husband Robert "Lal" longtime Lightning Family member from Fleet 266 in Carlisle, Illinois who left us in 2016.  

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Matt, his wife Christine and sons Patrick and Tim. Arrangements are being made and will will be posted soon. 

In Pat’s honor, let’s all hold onto family a little tighter today.

Patricia Barnhart Burridge

October 31, 2018

Passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at the age of 87.  Wife of the late Robert G. "Lal" Burridge; mother of Matthew G.S. Burridge (Christine Leifield Burridge); grandmother of Patrick and Timothy Burridge.  

Pat graduated from Washington University in 1952, where she was elected to several honorary societies including Mortar Board.  Her teaching career included several years at Reed and Central Schools in the Ladue School Systems, an English teacher at the old Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing, faculty member of the Graduate School of Education at Washington University and The Forsyth School.

Her volunteer activities included the Missouri Historical Society, Arts, and Education Council, Women's Division of the St. Louis Symphony Society where she co-chaired the Admiral Boat Party Fundraiser and the Benefit Cardinal Baseball game.  She was a docent for the Ephraim Wisconsin Foundation, where she and her family vacationed for many years.

Services:  A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Episcopal Church of St. Michael and St. George, 6345 Wydown at Ellenwood, Clayton, MO on
Saturday, November 10, at 3:30 p.m.  The family will greet friends after the service in the Great Hall of the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Delta Gamma Center for Children with Visual Impairment, 1750 S. Big Bend Rd., Richmond Heights, MO  63117 or to the Wednesday Club of St. Louis.
